One day Kelly was just browsing through the wedding sites on the web when she came across a competition to win a wedding on www.hitched.co.uk She entered and logged off. Just as we all do, Kelly didnt expect to hear anything about it again but one day she got a message from the site telling her that she had won a wedding! The lovely people over at hitched directed the now buzzing bride to be over to the prize contributors www.countryhouseweddings.com who gave her the choice of 4 stunning venues.... Between them, Dave and Kelly chose the beautiful tudor venue - Leez Priory in Essex.

The venue bent over backwards to help them plan an amazing day. I was lucky enough to be selected to photograph the lucky couple and I have to say, we had a great time! Myself and my second photographer Hayley thoroughly enjoyed sharing the amazing happiness that these two radiated. the Day started off in the priory where Kelly, her bridesmaids and flower girls were getting their hair and makeup done, they all looked lovely and the laughter echoed down the white and black-beamed halls.

The wedding co-ordinator for Country House Weddings, Joanna, was extremely helpful and kept the girls supplied with food and drinks, all the while keeping her eye on the clock to make sure things ran smoothly, she was a credit to the venue as the whole day ran perfectly.  After Dave, his best man and his 2 ushers (also his sons) had arrived, I took the guys outside for a few shots in front of the amazing house and then they darted back inside to get some drinks from the bar.

Before long all the guests started arriving and shortly after, the place was full of happy smiling friends and family, here to celebrate with the to-be-weds.
Raising her voice to be heard above the happy chatting, Joanna called everyone into the ceremony room and once everyone was seated, the wedding got underway. Dave stood looking nervous yet very handsome in his 3 piece suit, the seconds must have felt like hours! Just a couple of minutes later, Kelly walked up the aisle in her stunning white dress with lace and shine detail, she looked amazing. Dave could not stop grinning!

The ceremony was lovely and Kelly and Dave finally said 'I DO!' sealed it with the rings and a kiss and walked back out of the room as Mr and Mrs Gent! Congratulations!

We then head outside to do a few shots of the couple by the lake, I'd noticed earlier that the sky was perfect for getting some reflective shots accross the water.

We then head back to the front of the house for some group shots of all the family before everyone head inside to eagerly await dinner in the bar.

Once the dinner was served and the wedding party was eating, myself and Hayley went to set up a couple of flash's in the tower for later, when we returned, the lovely people at Leez Priory had made us a dinner too! It was delicious and very much appreciated, thank you.
After dinner, Dave stood up and announced his speech, he did great, all the right jokes at the right time but also all the love for his wife spilling out too. The best man's speech followed and (to keep in with tradition of course) he made sure he recounted a good tale at Dave's expense, everyone was clapping, tipping glasses and laughing. Lastly, Kelly's mum followed up with a heart warming speech and a lovely toast. So much love in the room.

After dinner, the party started in the bar but Hayley and I stole the bride and groom away for a few moments to get some shots in the darkening tower, the light was just great and these two couldnt stop laughing and kissing and just generally feeling over the moon at the amazing day so far. It was plain to see.

Once we had finished there, we all head back into the party room at Leez where the DJ was pumping out the music already, the newlyweds didnt even wait for their song, they were straight in there dancing away with big smiles on their faces. A little bit later, their Music came on and Dave and Kelly had their official first dance together. From there on in it was a party to remember, everyone got involved and they all partied the night away.

All in all it was a beautiful day with love and happiness just spilling out the doors and windows of the amazing venue. This lucky pair are made for each other and the 'feel-good' was infectious. These two could make anyone feel as welcome as a close family member, even Hayley and I went home feeling the love. Thank you for a brilliant day and once again, Congratulations Dave and Kelly Gent.
